Oscar + Kon-Tiki, FTW

January 10, 2013. Kon-Tiki, the Norwegian epic, has been nominated for an Oscar in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category.

Gimpville is proud of taking part in the production of the epic movie, Kon-Tiki. We wish Aage Aaberge, Roenberg and Nordisk Film all the best before the Academy Awards show.

Gimpville was one of the key VFX vendors on the Kon-Tiki production and completed more than 10 minutes worth of screen time. VFX Supervisor, Lars Erik Hansen, supervised and planned the visual effects of the entire movie during pre-production on behalf of Aage Aaberge and Nordisk Film Production.
